Let us introduce you to Sammy Margo, a Chartered Physiotherapist for 32 years who specialises in sleep.
She completed her Chartered Physiotherapy training and a Masters in Physiotherapy (MSc) at University College and Middlesex Hospital. Now as the founder of The Good Sleep Expert, she brings her expertise to The Sleep Matters Club.
Sammy Margo, MSc MCSP MMACP HCPC AACP, established her physiotherapy practice 25 years ago and is a spokesperson for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
During her time treating patients, Sammy’s interest in sleep began to grow. She discovered that a good night’s sleep can have a significant impact on an individual’s healing process. With her hands-on experience, she went on to author The Good Sleep Guide and The Good Sleep Guide for Children, both of which are fantastic resources for anyone who is struggling with sleep.
Sammy has published many articles on The Good Sleep Expert that champion the importance of sleep and also share her valuable sleep advice. From tips on good sleep posture to support dealing with stress and anxiety, you’ll find a variety of health and well-being guidance to aid your slumber.
Sammy has a long list of specialisations. Beyond sleep problems, beds, and pillows, she also works with sports injuries, neck, back, knee, shoulder, and foot pain, physiotherapy, acupuncture, arthritis, stress incontinence, children and exercise. Due to her extensive sleep expert experience, she’s frequently found in the media talking about anything sleep-related.
You can find Sammy sharing her professional sleep insights in The Independent, Glamour Magazine and The Sun. She’s also been a guest speaker on BBC Radio to talk about the importance of choosing the right pillow.
You can also listen to her chatting to Dr Pixie McKenna on the Dreams YouTube channel about what’s the perfect temperature for sleep. And sharing recommendations of the best pillows to buy for a comfortable night’s sleep.
