Ali Jawad is a British Paralympic powerlifter born without legs and diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2008. His strong focus on diet and training has enabled him to overcome the digestive setback and win Gold at the Americas Open Championships in 2015, Silver at the Rio Paralympics in 2016, and Bronze in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Fun fact: he idolises Rocky Balboa.
