Meet the interior designer and Creative Director who joins us as Dreams Interiors Expert
Whinnie Williams is best known as Creative Director and co-founder of retro-inspired interior brand Poodle & Blonde. Her British TV appearances involve joining interior legend Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen as a guest designer on Channel 4’s Changing Rooms and making her presenting debut on BBC Three’s renovation show ‘Flat Out Fabulous’ where she helps transform rental properties with her signature wow factor. In addition, she has been seen on the BBC series ‘Hire Me’, giving advice to new designers trying to break into the industry.
Whinnie has built a reputation for creating aspirational yet accessible designs, including wallpaper, fabric, and furnishings. Each of her hand-drawn creations seamlessly combines her artistic talents and impeccable sense of style, evoking nostalgia, glamour, timeless design, and originality. Her work effortlessly transforms the spaces we live, work, and play.
Whinnie’s unique and refreshing approach has been seen as a ‘gamechanger’ within the industry, quickly earning her a substantial social following. But it was her personal renovation project that first caught the attention of press and clients from around the world. Most notably, the transformation of her Victorian home in Margate that featured in titles including Elle Decoration and The Telegraph.
Whinnie’s diverse portfolio extends to the design of hotels, restaurants, and private members’ bars, as well as collaborations with renowned brands like Velux and Grey Goose.
