The Christmas countdown is on, and we’re sure you’ll agree the urge to spread festive joy is stronger than ever.

To make all things bright and beautiful, we’ve put together some fabulous Christmas style ideas for your bedroom. From an all-white spectacular to a woody winter wonderland, plus luxury jewel tones and handmade touches, we believe there’s a style for everyone. And if you’ve never had a Christmas tree in your bedroom, we say 2023 is the year to do it. Not convinced? Allow us…

Scandi-style decor

One way to get into the Christmas spirit is by taking inspiration from our Scandi friends.

After all, they’re the experts on keeping cosy in the chilly season. Think sleek, contemporary lines and plenty of wood to create your own Christmassy log cabin. When it comes to decorating, a few handmade garlands can go a long way – just look at our low-maintenance festive bedroom below, complete with the Northwood bed. Utilising lighting, such as hanging fairy lights and lanterns, instantly transforms any bland space into an effortlessly festive roomscape.

Just a couple of yuletide pieces can really transform your retreat into a homely and cosy one. Making homemade Christmas decorations is also a great activity for families with young children, particularly on chilly evenings by the fire. Check out this DIY Christmas decorations article for lots of ideas, from cool scandi-style garlands to festive foliage and more.

Traditional red and green

Lean into tradition with some festive red and green decorations to instantly transform your bedroom.

There’s a reason red and green are the staple colour combo for the Christmas season. Just look how we’ve styled the cosy Margot bed below if you need any proof – warm, cosy and oh-so classy. Plus, it’s super easy to do. Simply invest in some red and green accessories like throws, blankets and cushions (bonus points if they’re tartan) and your house will be looking like a scene out of Home Alone in no time.

Regal jewel tones

For a contemporary take on Christmas cheer, add a splash of dark mystery with opulent jewel hues.

For those amongst us who prefer to steer clear of traditional red and green, choosing darker tones of navy and green will give you a refined finish with plenty of festive spirit. Classic blue pairs exceptionally well with icy white, whilst touches of green foliage add a soft natural look, particularly when bathed in the gentle glow of lamplight.

We simply adore our navy velvet-finish Jay bed styled with pops of gold, green and earthy brown accents. Plus, its discreet under-bed storage is the perfect place to stash your Christmas presents before the big day, too!

Winter wonderland

The neutral tone of our natural Deacon bed frame is ideal for an all-white winter wonderland theme.

Here, we’ve styled it with stunning textured throws and cushions for a cosy Christmas feel and made a statement with a twinkling white wreath above the headboard. From the Christmas tree and baubles to the candles and ornament stars, the white and metallic colours tie this look together for the perfect winter extravaganza.

Layers of texture, with soft carpet and fluffy rugs (not forgetting the sumptuously upholstered bed frame), create a cosy space that even Santa would be envious of. Just be careful not to spill your hot chocolate…
